Signal Hill seeking community member for Sustainable City Committee

The City of Signal Hill is accepting applications for the role of community member for its Sustainable City Committee, which develops and recommends a sustainability framework that promotes environmentally sound and financially practical objectives.
An existing member is no longer able to complete a term, therefore creating a vacancy. The appointee shall serve as an incumbent member, and the term of office will expire in June 2018. It is an unpaid position.
Meetings take place at 6pm on the first Tuesday of every other month.
Each applicant should have a demonstrated concern for, and desire to sustain and improve, the status of natural resources and the environment of the city. Applicants may have personal, volunteer, professional experience or scholarly expertise in environmental fields, geology, hydrology, land-use planning, ecology, biology or in fields relating to the social, economic or environmental aspects of the city.
More information is available at cityofsignalhill.org under “Job Opportunities.” Interviews will be conducted at the regular committee meeting on Tuesday, June 6 at 6pm.
