The Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association and Electronic Waste Recycling are hosting an e-Waste Drive Saturday, Jan. 17, from 9am to 3pm at the North Division Police Substation (parking at Atlantic and Del Amo). Items collected include: monitors, CRT screens, plasma screens, televisions, LCD screens, laptops, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, microwaves, computer towers, stereo systems, cell phones, computer mice/trackballs, speakers, telephones, uninterruptible power supplies, VCRs, DVD players, servers, server racks, plotters, batteries (household), power cords/cables/strips, or any old appliances. (Basically anything that plugs in, runs on batteries, or has a wire.)
For a large number of items or something that is too large to be brought to the event, call Electronic Waste Recycling at (562) 477-2872 to schedule a pick-up. (Fees may apply.)
