The City of Long Beach has provided the following information about its departments and services during the holiday.
All Long Beach Public Libraries will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. All libraries will be open on Saturday, Nov. 25. Bay Shore, Burnett, El Dorado and Michelle Obama neighborhood libraries will be open on Sunday, Nov. 26. All libraries are closed on Mondays, per their normal schedule and will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 28. (The library catalog, downloads, and databases are available 24/7.)
There will be no scheduled street sweeping or enforcement of violations on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. Street sweeping will resume its regular schedule on Monday, Nov. 27.
Parking meters will be enforced on Thursday, Nov. 23 unless the meter states “Exempt on holidays.” All parking meters will be enforced on Friday, Nov. 24. The days and hours of enforcement are displayed inside the meters.
Trash and recycling will be collected as scheduled on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24.
The Towing Operations & Vehicle Storage Facility located at 3111 E. Willow St. will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and open for business as usual on Friday, Nov. 24.
City of Long Beach offices and services will adhere to the following schedule on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. City Hall will re-open on Monday, Nov. 27.
