
30-year-old Savanna Sok, a suspect in connection with the Oct. 10 murder of two Long Beach residents and the attempted murder of two others, was located and arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 29, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Murder suspect Savanna Sok’s photo was released on Oct. 31 in an attempt to seek the public’s help in finding him. Police officers located Sok in a vehicle near Elm Avenue and 61st Street that Nov. 29 evening. A felony traffic stop on the vehicle, occupied by two males and one female, was conducted. Sok fled from the vehicle and was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. A firearm located in Sok’s waistband was recovered.
Sok was booked on an outstanding murder and attempt-murder warrant and is being held at the Long Beach City Jail without bail.
The female in the vehicle— whose photo was also released as a person of interest last month— was earlier identified as 23-year-old Kelly Reyes of Long Beach. She was booked on an outstanding accessory to murder warrant and is being held at the Long Beach City Jail on $1,040,000 bail.
The second male subject in the vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Leonardo Lim of La Puente. He was booked for accessory to murder and is being held at the Long Beach City Jail on $1-million bail.
A gun recovered during the Oct. 26 search warrant at a residence in the 5900 block of Walnut Avenue was determined to be the firearm used in the murder and attempted murder.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
