The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Charles Evans Hughes Middle School sponsored an Italian fiesta to thank the teachers and staff at the school for the fantastic commitment and dedication to teaching their students.
Along with a full lunch, Italian music and festive décor promoted the theme. PTA Hospitality Coordinator Sharifa Batts was especially pleased with the support provided by several businesses, including Nino’s Italian Restaurant, Café Bixby, Catalanos Pizza and Red Brick Pizza.
Principal Monica Daley felt this was a beautiful gesture showing appreciation to her staff. The teachers themselves expressed feeling the love and gratitude from all of the parents who worked so extremely hard to show their appreciation.
“I feel a lot of pride having been part of this Hughes PTA event,” said outgoing PTA President Teresa Lampner. “Many thinks to all of the PTA parents for all of their support and food donations that made this event a huge success and congratulations to Sharifa Batts for coordination of this special event.”
