Dignity Health—St. Mary Medical Center welcomed the first baby of the new year on Jan. 1, 2018, to Long Beach residents Christina Yem and Rodtanna Onn. Dr. Michael Cogan delivered baby girl Ava Yem at 12:35am. She weighed 9 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long.
