“The Glory of Easter” will make its 2009 debut inside the Crystal Cathedral on Thursday, April 2 and will continue through Sunday, April 12. Filled with drama, song and pageantry, the theatrical performance presents state-of-the-art special effects, live animals, flying angels, trumpeters, and a soundtrack recorded by London Symphony and Seattle Symphony orchestras.
Seen by audiences worldwide, “The Glory of Easter” is comprised of more than 200 volunteer and professional actors who portray leading figures such as Jesus, Pilate, Mary Magdalene, Herod, Mary and others. Lifelike elements such as lightning, thunderstorms and rumbling earthquakes add to the production that boldly retells the story that changed the course of history.
