The Wrigley Association will host a candidate forum for Long Beach 7th-district candidates at its March 5 meeting. According to the neighborhood association, all five candidates have confirmed their attendance for the event: Oscar Delacruz, Jared Milrad, Chris Sereno, Kevin Shin and Roberto Uranga. Candidates’ opening statements will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Gavin McKiernan, president of the Long Beach Neighborhood Foundation, will serve as the moderator. The meeting will take place at Veterans Park Social Hall, 101 E. 28th St. on Monday, March 5 from 7pm to 8:30pm. Stacy Mungo, incumbent for the 5th District Long Beach City Council seat, has won the endorsements of the Long Beach Firefighters Local 372 and the Long Beach Police Officers Association, according to Mungo’s office.

The Long Beach Area Group of Sierra Club has announced the following endorsements for the April 10 election: Gordana Kajer for the 3rd-district Long Beach council seat; Rich Dines for the 5th District; incumbent Rex Richardson for the 9th District; and incumbent Robert Garcia for mayor.

The Association of Long Beach Employees is endorsing Gordana Kajer for election to the Long Beach City Council for District 3, according to the candidate.

United States Congressmember Nanette Diaz Barragán and Long Beach Vice Mayor Rex Richardson have endorsed Uduak-Joe Ntuk, a professor at Long Beach State and a Long Beach Community College (LBCC) commissioner, for the Long Beach Community College District Board of Trustees, according to the candidate.
