Kids choir seeking new members

The Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine Whaley Park Kids Choir is seeking kids ages 9-13 who love music and are looking for an opportunity to meet new friends and have some fun. Pre-registration is required, and there is a $35 fee to register, and a $5 material fee to be paid at the first class.
Choir rehearsals will start Friday, April 17 from 4pm to 5pm and on Saturday, April 18 from 1pm to 2pm, culminating in a concert on Saturday, May 30, at 2pm. Whaley Park is located at 5620 Atherton Road in Long Beach.
Rehearsals will help choir members meet new friends, learn to sing as an ensemble, and develop basic skills in harmony and musicianship.
The choir is directed by Dalyn Sale-Whaley, a recent graduate of the California State University Long Beach Music Department, where, as part of the CSULB Chamber Choir, she performed: in Venice, Italy; at Carnegie Hall; and at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Dalyn currently directs KidSingers – who have performed on Good Morning America, at Disneyland, the Nixon Library and Angel’s Stadium.
