Day Camps give kids ticket to fun

Kids can plan on a summer of fun-filled activities, while parents relax knowing their youngsters are in a safe, supervised environment in Summer Day Camp Programs provided by the Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine Department. This summer’s theme is A Ticket to Fun! with every week having its own theme.
The recreation staff is committed to providing a summer filled with fun, smiles and laughter, “Leading Youth through Positive Play.” The city is offering Park Day camps at locations through Long Beach.
Camps are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., between Monday, June 18 and Friday, August 24. Weekly fees for the programs run $75 to $140. To help working parents, extended daycare hours are available, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., for an extra $15 to $40 per week for the morning or evening session.
Five parks will offer day camps where kids 5 to 12 years old will keep busy with games, arts and crafts, field trips (extra fee), beach visits, and a variety of other activities. Cost for the day camps is $75 per week and sign-ups are underway at:

Preschool youngsters are welcome at two Pee Wee camps just for them. Cost for the Pee Wee camps is $75 per week and sign-ups are underway at:
