The 4th Annual Bixby Knolls Dragster Expo & Car Show took place last Saturday with 150 cars and a “Speed Expo” featuring 25 vintage top-fuel dragsters and power boats. Thousands showed up to stroll the newly paved Atlantic Avenue to check out the cars, listen to live music, and enjoy some treats on a perfect summer day. The following day, a “Bixby Knolls Has the Blues” concert was performed inside of the Expo building. KKJZ radio station sponsored the event, which featured Kelly’s Lot, Phil Gates and Long Beach Blues Festival participant Laurie Morvan.
