Residents are invited to learn how to live economically at a free “Downsizing Your Life” workshop on Monday, August 10 from 6pm to 7:30pm at the Neighborhood Resource Center, 425 Atlantic Ave.
Residents will learn tips about saving money on everyday items, living well with less and creating an inexpensive yet healthy home environment.
The workshop will be presented by: Kathy Estrada from the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services; Arlene Mercer, founder and director of Food Finders; and Dale Whitney, market manager of the Harbor Area Farmer’s Market.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring canned food to donate to Food Finders to assist Long Beach neighbors during the current economic crisis.
This workshop will be presented in English with Spanish and Khmer translation available. Call 48 hours in advance for Khmer translation. Free parking is available behind the building and on the street.
