A NIGHT WITH THE KNIGHTS
The Knights of Columbus Annual Past Grand Knight and New Officers Installation Dinner will take place on Friday, Aug. 21 at 7pm in the private dining room at El Torito Restaurant, 33rd and Atlantic Avenue. The fare is $20 per person and includes a Mexican fiesta buffet, soft drinks and a dessert. Everyone is invited to find out about upcoming 2009 and 2010 activities. spcaLA will host a Low-Cost Vaccine and Microchip Clinic at the P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village, 7700 E Spring St., on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 10am to 2pm. Dog vaccines will cost: DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus) for $15; and Bordetella for $10. Cat vaccines will be: FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) for $15, leukemia for $15; and rabies for $5. Microchips will be $25.

LINCOLN LUNCHEON AT LEGENDS
U.S. Attorney Thomas O’Brien will speak at the Thursday, Aug. 27 Lincoln Club luncheon meeting scheduled for noon at Legends, 5236 E. 2nd Street in Belmont Shore.
