I was a at the crime scene in Pomona where Rashad was killed. I live in Ohio, but I was raised in Inglewood. I’m the victim’s cousin. I’m not satisfied with the coverage and the article given online and television. Perhaps the reporters and police officers think that because he has tattoos and took pictures with money, its ok to paint a negative image of him. But Rashad was a good guy a non confrontational, hard working honest living guy. Is it a sin for a young man to attend an exclusive party? No… but this article makes it seem like it was somehow his fault. Your reporters didn’t even say his name right. His name is Rashad J. Budd (Budd is a Belizean last name). His parents worked hard to leave Inglewood and move to San Bernadino where he grew up and visited often (he attended college at Cal State- Dominguez Hills), which is why his license say Long Beach. . He made 100,000.00 driving Uber and Lyft last year. Had he not tried to cover the girls for the bullets he would still be alive. The coverage mentions none of that. Please correct this so my family can grieve in peace.
