Bixby to cast characters into street for next First Fridays

It’s time for the “Back to School” First Fridays on September 4, featuring special appearances from Alive Theatre dancers, as well as Long Beach Shakespeare Company’s roaming band of characters, including Dogberry, Mike the Poet, and introducing the Knolls Ranger (Bixby’s very own superhero).
Big Red Bus arrives at 6:30pm at 3853 Atlantic Avenue to take participants from venue to venue along the newly repaved, rubberized street. Venues can be found on Atlantic Avenue between Bixby Road and San Antonio Drive.
Participating businesses and organizations are: Alive Theatre at Expo, Gallery Expo at Expo, Nino’s Italian Restaurant, Eat. Play. Grow., Historical Society of Long Beach, FreeSpirit Yoga, Long Beach Arts, Vangie Ogg Photography and Pixie Toys, Averyboo Arts, Jammin’ Music, Elise’s Tea Room, It’s A Grind, Salon Medusa, Baba Ghanouj Lebanese Restaurant, Café Bixby and Pizza, The Factory, Richard Goad Theatre, EJ Malloy’s, Roy Robbins Gifts, District 8 Boutique, and Everyday Zen yoga studio.
