Spa Week spreads word on wellness

In an effort to introduce a new generation of consumers to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle this spring, Spa Week will be bringing $50 spa treatments to consumers at more than 400 spas across the United States and Canada from April 16 to Sunday, April 22.
The campaign’s goal is to make wellness a reality by introducing the public to the health benefits of the spa lifestyle. Spa Week is encouraging participating spas to develop wellness packages and campaigns, but of course, the spas will continue to offer their signature $50 treatments, along with enough pampering to please even the most discriminating spa enthusiast.
Motivated by the $13 billion annual North American spa industry, Spa Week was developed by Cheryl Reid and Christina Castro of C and R Media. The two women hail from successful careers within the luxury spa industry and publishing spheres.
Spa Week offers corporate and spa partners a vital niche-marketing platform as Spa Week builds as an international brand. Along the way, Spa Week has attracted the attention and participation of many corporate sponsors including Saab, eBay, B. Kamins, Conair, Jane Iredale, CEW, Essence of Vali, Philip Stein Teslar, Los Angeles Magazine, Xela Aromasticks and Cancer and Careers. Allure Magazine has been the exclusive media partner since 2005.
A portion of all Spa Week proceeds will benefit Cancer and Careers (www.cancerandcareers.org), a nonprofit organization for working women with cancer.
The SkinSpa Institute in Signal Hill will join the hundreds of other spas across the nation in raising awareness as well as raising funds for a good cause.
Although the campaign is supposed to run for one week, SkinSpa will extend the $50 treatment offer until Saturday, April 28.
SkinSpa is located at 2201 East Willow Street, Suite H. For information or to make a reservation, call (562) 427-1025.
