The Long Beach Police Department held the graduation of recruit class No. 83 on Wednesday, July 11, at the Terrace Theater Long Beach Performing Arts Center.
The 42 recruits have successfully completed 27 weeks (1,060) hours of intense academic, physical and practical training in areas such as: patrol procedures and law enforcement tactics, firearms training, weaponless defense, criminal law, vehicle operations, community oriented public safety, and cultural diversity/human relations training.
