Delegates from the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee voted to endorse Tonia Reyes-Uranga for re-election to the Long Beach City Council at a special meeting March 4. Â
The recommendation of the Assembly District delegations representing
the 54th and 55th state assembly districts is the first step for candidates seeking the endorsement of the Democratic Party. Reyes-Uranga exceeded the 60-percent threshold required to win the nomination at the Endorsement Recommendation Meeting level.Â
