Long Beach community members are invited to a Health Fair on Sunday, Aug. 5, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 607 East Third Street (at Atlantic Avenue) in Long Beach between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. There will be information on health topics and free on-site health screenings.
The fair will offer information about programs that benefit low-income families with children and senior citizens who have little access to health insurance and medical care.

There will also be instructors to lead exercise routines for children and adults, and dieticians will be here to answer your questions. Free health screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar. A free lunch will be served at noon.
Worship services precede the event at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. Call (562) 756-0849 for more information.
