KLOS deejays to help promote pet adoption in LB

KLOS radio station personalities Mark and Brian will be in Long Beach to promote animal adoption on May 8. This one-of-a-kind event is sponsored by KLOS and the spcaLA to provide Long Beach families with the opportunity to adopt healthy pets into loving homes.
“Over 11,000 animals are impounded at the Long Beach shelter each year,” said Ronald Arias, Health and Human Services department director. “If you can provide a loving home for a pet, we encourage you to adopt from your local shelter.”
The event will take place at the spcaLA P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village on Saturday, May 8, beginning at 10am. No appointment is necessary.
As an added benefit, a one-time late fee amnesty for past-due licensing renewals will be available for all onsite registrations. This is a chance to catch up on registration as well as receive vouchers from Animal Care Services and the Friends of Long Beach Animals for free spaying and neutering (for use at participating veterinarians).
