Nonprofit hosts art-making session to raise funds for kids’ programs

The public can experience hands-on art making with family and friends at Dramatic Results’ Second Annual Open House on Wednesday, April 28 from 4pm to 8pm at the nonprofit’s art studios at 3308 Lime Ave.
The event will include art activities for the whole family, including basket making, painting, shell drilling for jewelry and origami, as well as refreshments. There will be raffle opportunities and a silent auction of handmade art such as wearable art pieces, glass and wood art, and ceramics to raise funds to support the organization’s in-school arts integration programs for needy students in Long Beach and Compton.
Dramatic Results, an award-winning educational agency in Signal Hill, has served more than 17,000 students in local public schools since 1992. Dramatic Results’ mission is to facilitate student success by stimulating curiosity and fostering creativity through a hands-on, arts-based approach to learning.
