As a longtime resident and current business owner in Bixby Knolls, I have fond memories of growing up as a child in this wonderful neighborhood. I can remember my friends, and I would go to the Crest Theater and get kicked out for sneaking in …going to Russell’s and sitting at their counter and ordering their famous pies and hamburgers.
And so, it saddens me deeply knowing that Arnold’s has closed its doors after 60 years of being a neighborhood landmark.
When you walk in Bixby Knolls, there are certain places that you expect to see and enjoy patronizing. Well, Arnold’s was that kind of place— a place everyone would hang out and enjoy. Thank you for 60-plus years of enjoyment. You will be missed.
