Long Beach Transit to resume its museum express service this summer

Back by popular demand, Long Beach Transit will provide Museum Express bus service again this summer to a variety of local museums. This year, the program will be offered over a slightly condensed schedule, with trips operating Thursdays through Sundays, from June 24 to August 15.
Museum-goers will be transported in air-conditioned comfort directly to many renowned museums and gardens throughout Southern California for $8 per round trip on ADA-accessible buses, with room for up two wheelchairs per trip.
Customers can avoid standing in long lines to purchase Museum Express tickets by using an early mail-in registration process. Registration forms are available at lbtransit.com, or by calling (562) 591-2301. Tickets will be processed within 10 business days. Over-the-counter sales begin June 3 at the Transit Information Center located at 130 1st St. Entry fees to the venues are not included with the price of the Museum Express ticket.
Public parking is available near the Transit and Visitor Information Center in downtown Long Beach where the Museum Express departs and returns. The 2010 Museum Express program will offer a variety of destinations that include:
