A wind advisory along the Los Angeles County Coast, including Long Beach, will remain in effect until noon Saturday.
Northeast winds of 15 to 30 miles per hour are expected with gusts up to between 40 and 45 miles per hour.
Gusty crosswinds may affect Highway 101, Pacific Coast Highway, the 10, 105, 110, 405, 605 and 710 freeways. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
The advisory is also in effect in Downtown Los Angeles, Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
Residents are encouraged to use extra caution when driving and to secure outdoor objects.
