A man survived being shot in his car on Tuesday, Feb. 1 in Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
LBPD officers arrived to the area near the intersection of Molina Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway at approximately 9:18 p.m. on Feb. 1 in response to a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a male adult suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Police said that the victim told them that he was sitting in his parked vehicle when another vehicle drove up alongside him and the male adult driving the other vehicle shot the victim before fleeing the scene.
Personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department arrived at the scene and took the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.
Police said the motive for the shooting is currently unknown.
Gang detectives from LBPD arrived at the scene and the investigation is still ongoing.
