A woman believed to be in her 30s was found dead Sunday on a sandy beach area in Long Beach.
Long Beach police found the woman shortly after 8 a.m. just south of the 1900 block of East Ocean Boulevard.
Due to the position of the body and lack of explanation for the woman’s death, it was being investigated as a homicide, according to the LBPD.
The cause of death will have to be determined by the Los Angeles coroner’s office.
