Update: Missing Long Beach man found

Update: A 48-year-old man who walked away from his care facility in Long Beach, and who may need his medications, has been found in Lynwood unharmed, authorities said Saturday, April 9. David Quiroz was located by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies in Lynwood and reunited with his caretaker, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

Authorities sought the public’s help to find a man who walked away from his care facility in Long Beach April 8 and who may need his medications.

David Quiroz, 48, was last seen about 6:45 a.m. near the facility in the 1000 block of Walnut Avenue, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

Quiroz is Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a burgundy hoodie, dark blue jean shorts, slip-on sandals with a “mix-colored flower print,” and a white protective face mask, police said.

“Quiroz suffers from medical conditions and may easily become disoriented,” police said. “He left on foot and likes to frequent local convenience stores.”

Quiroz has been reported missing previously, and has been located in the surrounding area, police said.
