Houghton Park COVID-19 vaccine and testing site relocated to Ramona Park

All COVID-19 testing and vaccination service offered at the Doris Topsy-Elvord Community Center in Houghton Park will be relocated to Ramona Park starting on Monday, May 16.

The relocation was necessary due to the upcoming summer programming that will be taking place at Houghton Park.

The Doris Topsy-Elvord Community Center will return to offering its regular services, including programs hosted by the Parks, Recreation, and Marine Department.

Since the opening of the vaccination clinic at Houghton Park in July 2021, over 8,870 vaccines and 49,150 tests have been administered at this site alone, according to a statement by the City.

The new testing and vaccine sites at Ramona Park will be located at 3301 E. 65th St. next to the community center.

Testing will be available Mondays through Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m. 

Vaccines will be available Mondays through Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

COVID-19 vaccinations will still be offered at the following City-run vaccination sites six days a week:

  • Long Beach City College, Pacific Coast Campus (Parking Lot 1, Corner of Orange Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway)
    • Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.
    • Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • El Dorado Park West (2800 N. Studebaker Rd.)
    • Wednesdays in May, 3 to 6 p.m.
      • Closed May 25
  • Cabrillo High School (2100-2198 Monitor Ave.)
    • Fridays, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
    • Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Ramona Park (3301 E. 65th St.)
    • Mondays through Wednesdays, 1 to 5 p.m.
    • Thursdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Testing will still be offered seven days a week at the following City-run sites: 

  • Long Beach City College, Veterans Stadium (5000 E. Lew Davis St.) 
    • Mondays through Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m. 
  • Long Beach City College, Pacific Coast Campus (Parking Lot 1, Corner of Orange Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway)
    • Tuesdays through Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m.
    • Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Cabrillo High School (2100-2198 Monitor Ave.)
    • Saturdays and Sundays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m.
  •  Ramona Park (3301 E. 65th St.)
    • Mondays through Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m.
