St. Anthony Church is holding its annual parish fiesta the weekend of Friday, May 18, in the parking lot behind the church. There will be games, rides and different types of food at very affordable prices during the three-day event. The variety of the food reflects a few of the many groups who make up the parish community.
Located in the heart of Downtown Long Beach, St. Anthony is visited by hundreds of people every year for its carnival.
The raffle, which costs $1 per ticket, will award $5,000 to one first prize winner, $1,000 to second and $500 to third.
Tickets can be purchased at the Parish Center Office which is located at 600 Olive Avenue, or during the carnival. The raffle takes place Sunday evening, winners need not be present.
The carnival affords St. Anthony’s Elementary School operational funds, but most important, it offers an opportunity to build up a family.
“With parents, teachers, ministries and employees working together, this fiesta will bear witness to our call to be one community, all for the benefit of our youth,” said Father José Magaña, present Pastor of Saint Anthony Parish.
