Seeing it differently?

I purchased my condo in 1979 on the corner of Stanley and East 23rd (now known as Skyline Drive). I’ve seen the city change dramatically and all for the good.
I was proud of my ocean view but lost it within six months to a nine-unit condo built in front of me. Of course I was upset, but I changed my mind pretty quickly as I got to know my new neighbors. They are the type of neighbors that will always lend a helping hand, people like Donnis and Clark Weygandt and others. So I didn’t lose a view, I gained a whole new group of friends.
Citizens in our country, state and our cities are becoming more and more disgusted with those who run negative political campaigns, and on Election Day the mandate of the people will be heard loud and clear. Those who throw mud will come to realize this.
I love my city and have for 31 years, and I continue to be proud of it. God bless Signal Hill.
