International City Racing recently announced that EVA Airways will be the official international carrier for the 2007 Long Beach International City Bank Marathon. Winning male and female runners in the full marathon will each receive one round-trip, premium laurel business-class ticket on EVA Air.
“We are honored that EVA Airways has chosen to be involved in our marathon event,” said Bob Seagren, CEO of International City Racing. “EVA is known for providing superior international service, and ICR is proud to be associated with such a high-quality airline. We will do our best to help EVA communicate the outstanding service and convenient flight schedules to Asia and beyond.”
Marathon winners will have the choice of five Asian destinations including Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kula Lumpur and Singapore. This is the first time that the airline has sponsored an endurance, health or fitness event in Southern California.
“EVA’s emphasis on quality and performance makes the Long Beach ICB Marathon an ideal sponsorship fit for us,” said K.W. Neih, Executive Vice President for EVA Air. “Qualities shared by the participants are the same ones that make an airline great. Success takes diligent preparation and the heart to go the extra mile.”
