Friends of Long Beach Animals (FOLBA), recently celebrated 20 years of serving local pets and their human counterparts with a gathering at the Signal Hill Community Center. The July 30 event included the presentation of the Impact Award from Long Beach City Prosecutor Thomas Reeves who said he wanted to “reward people who invest in their community.” Assemblywoman Bonnie Lowenthal’s office also presented a commendation to FOLBA to recognize the accomplishments of the organization during the last two decades.
