PHILANTHROPIC ESTATE SALE
McKenzie Mortuary will conduct its annual estate sale on Saturday, July 10 from 8am to noon at 3843 E. Anaheim St. The proceeds from the sale will benefit KAMM Cares, a nonprofit organization that places money directly into the hands of individuals going through breast-cancer treatment.

CELEBRATORY MEETING
The North Long Beach Community Action Group will have its monthly community general meeting on Sunday, July 11 from 2pm to 4pm at Nino’s Restaurant, 3853 Atlantic Ave. It will also be a celebration in honor of the group’s 17th anniversary. Beginning Sunday, July 11, and on the second Sunday of subsequent months through October, from 1pm to 4pm, guests of Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens, 6400 East Bixby Hill Rd., are invited to relax on the back patio of the ranch house with freshly baked cookies and iced tea after touring the gardens and ranch house. This “Second Sunday” treat is made possible by the Volunteer Service Council at Rancho Los Alamitos.

SHRED SHREWDLY
Shred-4-Good, a social enterprise of Goodwill Serving the People of Southern Los Angeles County (SOLAC), 800 W. Pacific Coast Hwy., hosts its monthly shredding events on the second Tuesday of each month. The next one will be Tuesday, July 13 from 8am to 10am. The first box is free, each additional box is $5. The event is open to residents and businesses in the South Bay and Long Beach area. Documents will be shredded on the spot, and certificates of destruction will be issued.
