More Info In honor of Independence Day, this month’s theme will be American Beauty. The art walk will include live music, art, ice cream, balloon animals and face painting. The Expo Art Center will be open and will feature: over 30 artists in the main room; a show in the north gallery displaying art by Dean Triolo and a show in the south gallery showcasing an exhibit by Tidawhitney Lek, both curated by Toaster Music; a photo exhibit by Nash Jacquez in the north room; and a poetry slam in the Back Room Theatre. Troop 29 will host its annual flag retirement at Georgie’s Place and all are invited to bring a flag for the ceremony. More Info Guests can enjoy mud-themed activities like playing in adobe mud, making adobe bricks, constructing a mini-adobe home and competing in mud relay races at Rancho Los Cerritos’s Celebration of Adobe. Parking is available only in the overflow lot across the street from the entrance. Shoes are required except in the mud pit, and guests are encouraged to wear old clothes and bring a towel plus a change of attire for the ride home. “De-mudding” stations will be available for limited cleanup. No more than six children per adult. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children 3 and under.
