Assemblymember Lowenthal, LBCC offering free small-business seminar

Assemblymember Bonnie Lowenthal has teamed with Long Beach City College to create a free seminar where small-business owners can meet, greet and get the latest information on loans, employee training funds, and QuickBooks. The Small Business Development Center at Long Beach City College and Lowenthal’s office will host the free seminar Friday, March 16 in Building T-1200 on City College’s Liberal Arts Campus, 4901 E Carson St. Topics will include small-business Loans and financial assistance for training.
“Knowledge is power,” said Lowenthal, “and we want to share the power.” Lowenthal has offered several seminars for small business, linking them with experts on a range of issues. She has been honored by the California Small Business Association and the California Small Business Roundtable. The March 16 event starts at 7:30am with networking and light refreshments, followed by the program from 8am to 9am. Parking in Structure J is $1.
