The Belmont Shore Business Association (BSBA) is having its 4th annual Belmont Shore Community Chocolate Festival this Saturday, Feb. 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. Described as a chocolate lover’s dream, the Belmont Shore Chocolate Festival is among the area’s most popular community events.
Visitors have the opportunity to sample a delicious array of chocolate treats provided by participating Belmont Shore merchants. Books of 12 tickets will be sold for $10 during the event in front of Washington Mutual Bank, located at 5200 East Second Street.
Among the various Belmont Shore businesses selling ticket books the week of the event are Archibald’s, located at 4600 East Second Street, Wiskers at 4818 East Second Street, Sweet Jill’s at 5224 East Second Street and Mail Boxes Etc., located at 5318 East Second Street in Belmont Shore.
Guests can get involved by participating in the Homemade Chocolate Dessert Contest, which will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and kids can compete in the Chocolate Pie Eating Contest at 3:30 p.m. Trophies will be awarded at 4 p.m. to the best desserts in categories such as Chocolate Pies and Cakes, Chocolate Cookies and Brownies, and Unique Chocolate Treats, and to the winners of the Pie Eating Contest. Live music will be performed during the entire event.
All Community Chocolate Festival activities will take place adjacent to the Belmont Shore Washington Mutual.
