Bixby Knolls November activities to focus on celebrations, serving community

Halloween is here, which means time speeds up heading into the holidays. “It’s going to be November already?” is something we have heard a lot lately. At this point in the year, we hold on as hard as we can for the roller-coaster ride heading toward the new year.
November will remain busy in Bixby Knolls. The Bixby Knolls Strollers will continue to meet at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf every Saturday morning at 7:30am for the neighborhood walks.
In addition to that, the calendar is pretty full with:

Nov. 3 Supper Club at Nino’s, “A Celebration of the Life of Vincenzo Cristiano;” seatings at 6pm and 7:30pm
Nov. 7 8th anniversary celebration of First Fridays from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Nov. 12 Literary Society discusses Animal Farm at 7pm at Elise’s Tea Room
Nov. 16 Kidical Mass’s canned-food-drive ride at 1pm at Georgie’s Place
Nov. 20 Atun anniversary party at 6pm
Nov. 23 Yappy Hour at The Factory in partnership with GoFETCH from 2pm to 4pm
Nov. 29 Small-Business Saturday, all day long

And you never know when a “flash” event may occur during the month. Businesses gear up for Small-Business Saturday when we ask the community to commit to doing some holiday shopping in our own district and bypass the malls or online shopping. The district thrives when the community shops and dines locally.
Looking even farther ahead, we are making plans for our annual Tree and Menorah Lighting Ceremony on First Friday, Dec. 5. Activities begin at 6pm at the Nino’s fountains and parking lot.
