Bixby Knolls jingled all the way on Saturday as the neighborhood hosted its annual SantaCon, drawing crowds for a festive bar crawl, family-friendly activities and community connection. The event kicked off at Bixby’s Expo Arts Center, where attendees could explore local breweries, restaurants and shops along the route.
“We just need positivity, and that’s really a big part of that,” said Blair Cohn, executive director of the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association.

As the day unfolded, families found their own ways to celebrate. At Knollsville, children chased bubbles, played with inflatable animals and even encountered the Grinch. Courtney Gannon, attending with her children, mentioned how it was a great event for adults and children.
“We thought it would be a fun way to get into the holiday spirit!” she said.
SantaCon also provided a platform for educators to share programs that introduce cultural experiences to young learners. Maggie Solorzano-Muneton, founder, teacher and director of Semillitas Preschool, showcased her Spanish immersion curriculum.
“It’s really important to bring cultural experiences to our community,” she said, noting that events like this allow families to see what her school offers firsthand. Outside they offered a water color workshop for children and families to create a greeting card.
For many attendees, SantaCon was more than a celebration; it was a chance to connect with neighbors, discover local businesses and embrace the season together.
