Lydia’s House, the 40-bed women and children’s shelter of the Long Beach Rescue Mission, recently received a donation of window coverings and installation for ten windows from local Budget Blinds owners Morgan and Leonne Bannister. “We have a lot to be thankful for,” Morgan Bannister said, “We have a happy and healthy family and our business is going well. It was natural to offer the Mission a donation to thank them for what they do for the less fortunate in our community.”
Robin McCauley, New Life program director at the shelter said, because of the generosity of Budget Blinds, the entire New Life Program Apartment at the Mission is now “bright and cheery. We went from old dark mini-blinds to beautiful, new two-inch, faux-wood blinds. The generosity of Morgan and Leonne at Budget Blinds is helping to transform the lives of the women we serve at Long Beach Rescue Mission.”
