The California Conference for Equality and Justice (CCEJ) will present four distinguished honorees with the 2012 Humanitarian Award at its dinner on Thursday, May 17. The honorees are Rich Archbold, Mike Murray, Richard Steinke and Rocky Suares. CCEJ will recognize these leaders for their efforts to advance the mission of the California Conference for Equality and Justice, their civic contributions, and their life-long commitment to humanity and justice.
CCEJ will also recognize TABC with the Building Bridges Award for the company’s dedication to CCEJ’s mission and programs through significant contributions of time, resources and financial support to the organization.
Gloria Cordero and Larry Forester will serve as this year’s dinner co-chairs, and they will lead the ceremonies for the evening.
CCEJ will also take the opportunity during the event to recognize its recently retired president, Margaux Kohut, for her 25 years of service to the organization and the community of Long Beach and to welcome its new president, Wende Nichols-Julien, as she returns to CCEJ.
The 49th Annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner will be held at the Renaissance Long Beach, 111 East Ocean Blvd., on Thursday, May 17, with a reception at 5:30pm and meal at 6:30pm. Tickets to the event are $180 per person with multiple sponsorship levels available.
