Carpenter Center seeks volunteers

The Carpenter Performing Arts Center, located on the campus of California State University, Long Beach, is currently seeking arts lovers to volunteer for their upcoming season.
With thousands of audience members visiting the theatre every season, the Carpenter Center needs courteous, responsible people to help with ushering, marketing efforts and special events. Volunteers ensure excellent customer service and safety for all Carpenter Center audiences, while also enjoying the Center’s world-class performances.
“Volunteering with the Center is a great community service that can also be personally rewarding and enriching,” said General Manager Michele Roberge in a press release.
Volunteers are required to attend a brief orientation at the theatre. The next orientation date is Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The 2007/08 season starts Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. with An Evening With Jane Fonda.
The theatre is located at 6200 Atherton Boulevard in Long Beach.
