After a national tour, The Found Theatre, 599 Long Beach Blvd., will present The Stories of Cesar Chavez through Sunday, Oct. 24. Written and performed by Fred Blanco, Stories is a dramatic look at the real-life civil rights leader as he builds a union and creates a movement. Celebrated as one of the most influential and inspirational leaders of our time, Chavez fought to bring dignity and social justice to migrant farm workers through his philosophy of peace and hope.
The Stories of Cesar Chavez was recently named “Best of the San Francisco Fringe Festival 2010.”
Tickets are $10 for Friday and Saturday performances at 8pm, and $5 for all ages for Sunday matinees at 2pm.
