Discover insects, birds, animals, and the native plants that support them at the 2009 Winter Lecture Series at Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site. The lectures will explore the Southern California environment in a four-part series running January through April. These presentations will take place Saturdays, beginning at 10:00am. Doors open at 9:30am for light refreshments.

Meet the birds that fill our skies with song and flight as Tracy Drake and Ron Melin discuss migrating birds as well as year-round residents.

Animals Amongst Us
“The Nature of Wildworks” will bring the wonders of nature to the Rancho, introducing guests to some amazing birds and mammals that are native to the golden state. This program focuses on the lifestyles and habits of our local critters and the contributions, both pro and con, that wild animals make to the environment.
