California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) will host “Money Talks: An Introduction to Retirement and Legacy Planning,” a workshop where attendees can assess their retirement goals and hear financial strategies presented by the Office of Estate and Gift Planning.
The workshop, held in the CSULB Foundation Building, Room 204, will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. The discussion will be led by CSULB’s assistant vice president for estate and gift planning Susan Berkman and director Susan Knopick.
“The event is good for anyone who wants to learn about preparing for retirement,” said Berkman. “Retirement used to be viewed as a time of life for leisure and travel, and money was viewed as finite and the only option was making it last. Now with increased life expectancy, retirement may not mean the same thing as it did 30 years ago.”
The two-hour event includes refreshments and is free with no obligation or selling of any kind. For more information on the workshop, contact Lori Evans at (562) 985-5489.
