Dead body found in ocean nearly nine years ago still unidentified

Ironman sunglasses and a casio watch found on an unidentified white male between the ages of 55 and 70 that was discovered in the ocean near Long Beach in 2014.

Almost nine years after his body was found floating in the ocean off the coast of Long Beach, no one has yet come forward to name the unknown man found in September 2014.

According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), on Sept. 6, 2014, a body was discovered on the surface of the Pacific Ocean and was subsequently brought to shore by Long Beach Port Police.

The body was too decomposed to tell many of the man’s features.

According to NamUs, the man had gray or partially gray hair and was balding.

He is estimated to have been between 55 and 70 years old, around 187 pounds and 6 feet tall.

Although the victim’s body was too decomposed for NamUs to share his photo, pictures of his watch and glasses are available.

At the time his body was found, he had on a medium-sized light blue shirt, gray briefs, a cloth belt, gray shorts with a blue stripe, a Casio watch, a rope-type necklace with an “S” charm, keys to a General Motors vehicle and Ironman sunglasses.

Those who may have information about his identity are urged to call the Long Beach Police Department at (562) 570-7260.
