The City of Signal Hill hosted the grand opening of a new community garden in Signal Hill Park on Saturday, Nov. 22. The event included a welcome by Wilson, a presentation by a local master gardener, crafts and a planting activity for children, and commemorative cookies donated by Rossmoor Pastries. Spaces are available to Signal Hill residents only. Most spaces are currently rented, but interested parties may contact the Community Services Department for more information at (562) 682-6387.
