Dine on Pine event to honor Long Beach Rotary, raise scholarship funds

The Conservation Corps of Long Beach (CCLB) will host its 22nd annual Dine on Pine event at 5:15pm on Monday, June 9. The purpose of the event is to fundraise for scholarships and to educate the community about the organization’s services.
Held on Pine Avenue in Downtown Long Beach, Dine on Pine is a progressive dinner that begins at Renaissance Long Beach Hotel, continues at George’s Greek Café and L’Opera, and ends at the Renaissance Hotel.
Each year at Dine on Pine, the CCLB also recognizes a group or individual for outstanding public service. This year, Long Beach Rotary will be honored with the Founder’s Award “for their ongoing commitment to youth and the community,” according to CCLB.
“Dine on Pine gives us the opportunity to showcase the CCLB and provide information on the valuable resource that we are to the greater Long Beach community,” said Mike Bassett, executive director and CEO of the CCLB. “The guests are able to enjoy a delightful four-course meal, network with peers and have an exceptional time, all while supporting the work we do and helping to provide scholarship and education funds to well-deserved youth.”
The event is open to the public, and ticket cost is $100. For more information or to purchase tickets, call Tara Cannon at (562) 208-5059 or email tcannon@cclb-corps.org .
