Update: A developmentally disabled 46-year-old man who went missing Wednesday in Long Beach has been found safe. Police did not release any details regarding how or where Quiroz was found safe.
A 47-year-old man who has been diagnosed as developmentally disabled is missing in Long Beach and authorities Thursday, Jan. 6 are asking the public for its help in locating him.
David Quiroz was last seen at approximately 12:45 p.m. Wednesday near Walnut Avenue and East 11th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Silver Alert was issued by the CHP for Quiroz on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department.
Quiroz is Latino, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 248 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be on foot and wearing a beige shirt, a blue shirt and white shoes.
Anyone who sees Quiroz or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
