Nothing will eliminate the pain of student loan payments, but free pizza can certainly soften the blow (and help with finances).

Dominos is set to give away $1 million worth of free pizzas to people dealing with student loan payments. The company announced the giveaway on Oct. 25, following a tumultuous year of political powers going back and forth on the issue of student loan forgiveness.

Student loan payments resumed on Oct. 1.

“Student loan payments have resumed for millions of Americans, and we wanted to help in our own little way by using the power of pizza to do something nice for our customers,” said Kate Trumbull, Domino’s senior vice president and chief brand officer. “When life gives you loans, Domino’s gives you free pizza!”

The giveaway requires customers to apply in hopes of receiving a code, which will have a set limit each day until the $1 million is used up or until Nov. 9, whichever occurs first. The code will be good for one free medium two-topping pizza, and customers can then enter to earn a free emergency pizza

Here’s how to apply for a free Domino’s pizza:

  • Visit dominos.com/student-loans
  • Apply for a free Emergency Pizza for Student Loans
  • Verify your email address
  • If codes are still available on the day you apply, Dominos will send an email with a free pizza code, which they can redeem on an online or delivery order within 30 days.

The website tells customers if any codes remain before requiring an application to be filled out. The amount of codes reset each day at midnight, eastern time.

As of Oct. 26, $124,000 has been used up in the fund.
