As a result, the exhibit will feature some unique installations, assemblages, renderings and actual fashion designs.
“I’ve always thought of fashion as an art form,” Rodriguez said. “You might call it a decorative or applied art, as opposed to fine art, but what’s the distinction? The same amount of artistic expression goes into clothes, a piece of jewelry, or in the act of blending textures and patterns.”

The exhibit will be available for viewing from 4pm to 8pm on: Friday, Aug. 24; Saturday, Aug. 25; Friday, Aug. 31; and Saturday, Sept. 1. Gallery Expo is located at in the Expo Arts Center.
The opening reception is free and open to the public. Dogs, strollers or children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the gallery.
